So it's been a while since I have been able to get on here to blog something... but I wanted to share somethings that happened this week. When we first got up here, we made the joke that we are going to be stuck up here, because it's far north about 1/2 and hour away from a big central where they have things like superstore. So if for some reason that our car breaks down or just can't get out of here, we would be stuck never able to leave. Then this story happened....
So Andreas and I were invited to go to a community meal in the little town we are living in and we thought great.. we haven't been out and we haven't met anyone yet, why not. So that night we came home from work, which basically I just walk across the grass and I'm home, and we got all ready to go out. We jumped into the car and Andreas let me drive so I was quite excited. Now our "drive way" is curved around this bush of trees (because we live in the bush) so when I turned the corner we both saw it, our road had foot deep ruts in it from the previous construction that was going on the day before. I drove up as close as I could to the ruts just to see if my car could make it and decided against it. Which was unfo
rtunate because this road was the only road we could use to get out. So I started to back up but the roads were so muddy that I basically drove my car into the ditch getting her stuck in the mud about 1/2 a foot from a tree. So now, we were stuck here, like actually. Our fear of never getting out and being stuck in the bush actually fulfilled itself, in what I found to be a very humorous way. So Andreas ran to get help from mike, and I ran to get the camera. We eventually got our car out of the mud but in the end we were still stuck and spent the night at home.

We eventually got our car out of the mud but in the end we were still stuck and spent the night at home. The next day we were almost going crazy, the road was not fixed yet and we still were not able to get out. We both decided that if we don't get our car out soon then it's going to snow and we are not going to ever get out of here. See on the other side of the grass where I work in the office of the camp, is a parking lot. It's pretty well kept up, as long as the snow stays down, and the roads are fairly clear after that. But our car is on the other side of the grass, stuck. So what did Andreas decided to do then, drive over the grass. It was still wet that day, it had been raining Sunday when we got stuck and then it still rained a bit on Monday as well when Andreas got this idea to drive across the grass. So in order to get across the grass, missing the major buildings and obsticals we had to drive our car through two sets of trees located at either end of the grass patch. And the distance between the set of trees, the distance we had to drive our car through was 7 Andreas feet, and the car was 6. So need less to say, we got our car onto the other side of the grass and the next day, it snowed. Yea God is good and provides solid ground and good timing!
